You’re right. There was no valid reason to freeze or inhibit the thread. But the people with that authority have to be able to understand that fact. And apparently they don’t.

Miss Mannered is someone on a political blog who was harassed by pro-zionist weasels. The blog proprietors removed the comments because the dittoheads at Daily Kos were overloading their servers by using them to demonstrate that the (U.S.A.) blog was not loyal to Israel.

It’s unfortunately true that human nature is such that 1) the more trivial the difference between two cultures, the harder the opinionmakers/memesetters in each culture will work to maintain the differences: similarities can lead to unwanted (by the leaders) fraternization with the other tribe, and loss of status for leaders.
In times of peace, leaders have less status and thence less power and control over their own resources, and it’s ALWAYS about status, and procreation.
2)There is too perfect a fit between Israel’s “Chosen People” meme, and the American “City on a Hill” meme for it not to be a two-headed monster, rather than a dog-tail pair.
